OK, color my face red, if it were a snake it would of bit me, yadda, yadda, yadda…

Please disregard my earlier question about thumbnails… Just downloaded and used the ThumbGenie, a Truly Remarkable tool. Thanks my FTP'd Jing now functions with a thumbnail

Jing doesn't ship with SCORM compliance. It would be fairly simple to build a SCORM SCO template for Jing recordings. Can you give me a better idea of your specific needs?

Thanks also,
This works great, I'm using Jing for educational purposes in the Netherlands...
Now all I need is something that will generate the embed / link code for me when I request it and will show all the flv's I have stored (like screencast does..) .. ;)
Still this is perfect, I've been making flv's for half a year now, Jing icw this makes it all the easier / more intuitive / therefore more readily usable.

Thanks for sharing this embed player. I really like the functionality.

I couldn't find the jing_ftp_settings.txt file in your download, can you post that again?

Thanks,

@Jason - Help is on the way. I'm working on something that will likely be posted over at blog.jingproject.com. I'll post when we've got something up live.

Brooks, thanks so much for this -- it's a big help. Screencast.com's bandwidth limitation for the free account is too severe for my purposes, and I'm loathe to pay for the upgraded account when I already have a webhost with unlimited storage and bandwidth, so I'm glad I found this article.

I realize that beggars can't be choosers, but I wonder if you have any kind of solution that addresses Jing Pro's ability to save in MP4 format? I couldn't get this method (above) to work at first, until I realized that it only worked with SWF files.

The other odd thing is that the latest version of the Jing software doesn't seem to have a field in the FTP setup for specifying custom SHARE code. The image and video embed code fields are still there, but not the one for the share link. Seems like a really odd omission from the software.

Anyway, thank you again for posting this. Even if I'm limited to manually updating the share link and relegated to SWF format, it'll be a big help. (I'll just wish I hadn't bothered with the Pro version - LOL.)
