This is the blog of Brooks Andrus. Here, at irregular intervals, you may find digital noise centered around the activities of an early 21st century technologist. I work for TechSmith Corporation, but this web space and the views found on it are entirely my own.

@ P.K.

Video is hilarious--I can't believe I haven't seen all of your stuff.

Thanks for the heads up on AIR - just hadn't configured things properly. :-)

I'm digging FDT a lot. The way it creates classes and methods based on the context by which I use them (before I write them) is really useful. It's a nice switch from FlexBuilder.

For AIR, I haven't tested it, but here's a good link that also links to more info about doing it:
http://www.martijndevisser.com/blog/2008/building-air-with-fdt/

To me, the only real attraction to FlexBuilder is the profiler. I'm thinking that I could keep FlexBuilder around just for that. But, for what it's worth, I've been doing AS for a while and seemed to have gotten by okay without a profiler.

I suspect the price has something to do with the dang exchange rates. Oh, they do offer free licenses to those involved in bone fide open source projects.
