Great demo!
Q: I want to use the close caption feature of camtasia but I want to disable the player. I know I can export as an .avi and have the close caption burned in, but I would like to have the flexibility outlined from your demo. Do you know how to disable the player by editing the xml or js file and keep the close caption feature active?

Maybe you could be a little more expansive on what you mean by “I want to disable the player.”

I would like to remove the player and keep the close captioning active.
I’m importing the final video into Articulate and would like to use the player available in Articulate and the closed captioning of Camtasia. I know I can export my project as a .avi and have the captioning burned in.
However, I would like to have the additional functionality of CC which comes with the flash export. I would also like to apply your trick of changing the font and background color within the CC.
At the current time the type of functionality you’re describing isn’t possible, but the feature request is duly noted. :)
It would be very useful for my applications to have a separate caption window, like the Table of contents window. It could be at the bottom or on the side. The captioning poses a problem when the area you want to show is on the lower portion of the video. The captioning overlays it and thus obscures the display. For now, I’ve worked around it by making sure I have a white space at the bottom of my recordings to allow room for the captions. It gets the job done, but it’s cumbersome. This is one for the suggested improvement lists - make a captions window!

how can i edit the camtasia caption using xml file.
Hi I would like to use the close caption option to create an AVI file, Quicktime file, etc… and be able to bring the file into an editing program such as Adobe Premier or Final Cut Pro. Is this possible? Also the Flash file I created using Camtasia and its default settings is causing Adobe Flash to crash as well as other players, Any advice?
